Guidance Officer

Wynnum State High School offers the services of a Guidance Officer to provide support for all members of the school community: students, parents and carers. 

 The Guidance Officer provides:

  •  counselling for students (issues such as friendships and relationships, stress management, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, family issues
  • career counselling (such as subject selection, tertiary study advice, career development). 

The role of the Guidance Officer is also to be an advocate for students and to liaise with community agencies on student issues.
