Early Childhood Studies
Students who undertake Early Childhood Studies focus on learning about children aged from birth to five years. Students study a range of topics including being in a safe place, literacy and numeracy, health and physical wellbeing, indoor and outdoor learning environments, play and creativity.
So far this semester the Year 11 students have enjoyed a range of activities including playdough making, colouring, Easter activities, playing games such as Simon says and sleeping lions. These activities allow the students to apply the theories they learn in class into practical, age appropriate activities.
Like the Year 11 class, the Year 12 students have been involved in a range of activities and at times been required to work outside of their individual comfort zones when it has come to creative play such as dancing and singing. The Year 12 students have been focusing on the seven senses and applying this knowledge to the activities they complete in class.
