Spinoff ChallengeOn Saturday 24 October there was a fundraiser held for Chaplaincy called “Spinoff”. The idea of the fundraiser was to gather teams of riders who would individually raise money through sponsors and donations and they would then race other competitors on spin bikes. The team who rode the furthest during the 30 minutes would be crowned the kings of spin.
The students from our school were fantastic in their fundraising and on the day they competed extremely hard and ended up smashing the other teams in the school’s category. Not only did they ride amazingly we also had the loudest cheer squad thanks to the support of their parents. For winning their competition the students received an extra $500 dollars to Chaplaincy.
It was a fantastic day with lots of fun and sweat. Thanks to the brilliant work of the students we were able to raise $2400 for the Chaplaincy service in our great school. The champion team consisted of Lydia Garsden, Adam Guthrie, Zac Pitt, Tom Koene, Jaike Clifford, Richard Ravu and Noah Cottee. Once again my sincere appreciation for those who gave of their time to support myself and Chaplaincy in the school.
