Student services and support programs

  • Chaplain

    Wynnum state high school is very fortunate to have the services of Greg Deighton as our School Chaplain. It is a role that he relishes, interacting daily with students offering them friendship, encouragement, a listening ear and spiritual guidance.

  • Guidance Officer

    Wynnum State High School offers the services of a Guidance Officer to provide support for all members of the school community: students, parents and carers.

  • Indigenous Education Worker

    A Teacher Aide works with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families to maximise student’s educational outcomes throughout their schooling at Wynnum State High.

  • Special Education Program

    The Special Education Program at Wynnum State High School supports students with a range of disabilities. These include:

  • Youth health nurse

    School based youth health nurses assist young people in secondary schools (aged 12 – 18) to make a safe transition into adulthood by providing advice around 'foundations' for health promoting behaviours and attitudes.
