At Wynnum State High School, we believe in empowering our students to be active contributors to our school community. Student voice is valued, encouraged, and embedded within the fabric of our school culture. Through a range of leadership opportunities, students are supported to develop their leadership potential and make a meaningful impact.
Student leadership roles include:
- School Captains (Year 12)
- House Captains (Year 12)
- First Nations Leader
- Junior House Captains
- Student Councillors
These leaders form our Student Council, a dynamic team committed to representing the student body, leading school initiatives, promoting school spirit, and shaping a community that reflects our PROUD values.
Each member of the Student Council works within one of our four leadership pillars: Student Voice, Fundraising, Social Justice, and School Environment. These pillars guide the Council's focus areas and ensure all student leaders contribute meaningfully to school life while developing valuable skills in collaboration, responsibility, and service.
Further information about the structure, roles, and application process can be found in our Student Leadership Information Pack.
