Wynnum State High School is very fortunate to have the services of Greg Deighton as our School Chaplain. It is a role that he relishes, interacting daily with students offering them friendship, encouragement, a listening ear and spiritual guidance.
Greg provides individual and family support for the emotional and spiritual needs for all members of the school community: students, staff, parents and carers. He provides a listening ear and a message of hope in a safe place where young people can gather and meet. He is able to help young people connect with other Christian and community services which can assist and support them in their local area.
Some of the activities the role involves:
welcoming new students to the school by way of an orientation program on their first day
coordinating Wynnum Wipeout, a youth community project which offers holiday activities to members of our local community.
Chaplain Greg can be contacted on (07) 3906 7315.
