Guidance Officer

​​​​Wynnum State High School offers the services of two Guidance Officers to provide support for all members of the school community: students, parents and carers. 

 The Guidance Officers provide:

  •  counselling for students (issues such as friendships and relationships, stress management, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, family issues
  • career counselling (such as subject selection, tertiary study advice, career development). 

The role of our Guidance Officers is also to be an advocate for students and to liaise with community agencies on student issues.

Robert Inglis is our Guidance Officer who looks after Years 8, 9, 11 and 12 students.

Kirstie Beatson is our Guidance Officer who looks after Years 7 and 10 students.
