On Wednesday 1 June, Wynnum State High School performed in the Fanfare competition which was hosted by us. Fanfare is the biennial state-wide festival for bands and orchestras in Queensland state schools showcasing the outstanding music making that occurs in school ensembles. There are Four divisions in the secondary section.
Our Years 7 and 8 band competed in Division 3 and achieved an outstanding result of a GOLD!
Our premier ensemble performed with the best Concert Bands in QLD by competing in Division 1 and achieving a SILVER! This is an outstanding result for the Instrumental Music program and can only be achieved by the support of the school community including the subject teachers, administration, parents, carers and the amazing students of Wynnum State High School.
